MV Agusta has announced a swag of updates and new liveries to its 2018 range, using EICMA to show off next year’s finery.
As well as the firm’s 675cc and 800cc triple-cylinder engines both achieving Euro4 compliance, the fully-faired three-cylinder sportsbikes cop the up-spec RC treatment for 2018. Both have received an updated gearbox to match the heavily tweaked engine, while thicker engine covers should help keep the noise at bay and the repair bills down in the event of a crash.
The ride-by-wire throttle systems have been improved, as have the traction control parameters as well as the quickshifter.
As well as the race-replica livery, the RC treatment includes a titanium exhaust with a carbon-fibre silencer, a high-performance ECU, sprockets for track specific gearing and billet machined levers.
The 2018 Dragster 800 RR will be offered in matt grey/fluro yellow affair as well as an anthracite/red/white option for the new model year, as well as 250 examples also gaining the limited RC treatment.
Finally, to celebrate the fact that Pirelli is now the sole tyre supplier to the Italian marque, MV Agusta has released a special Pirelli edition of its Brutal 800 RR. On top of the Pirelli logo forming the bike’s graphics, there’s lighter wheels which includes a wider rear rim to house the Diablo Supercorsa SP rubber which, on this model, can be ordered with coloured sidewalls.
There’s no word yet on which models or how many of them will be made available in Australia.
