Fitted with panniers and a small screen, which are both removable, means the Street Glide offers a versatile package which can be tailored to the rider’s specific requirements.
It’s powered by Harley’s Milwaukee Eight 107 engine, and its touring capabilities are highlighted by the addition of cruise control. According to Harley, quick-release clamps on the fork makes for easy removable of the 3.5cm-high screen and would-be owners have the option of a taller 14cm via the accessories catalogue.
The total carrying capacity of the hard, lockable panniers is 25.5 litres and are designed for a one-handed opening ability while seated on the bike.
It’s suspended on 43mm upside-down front forks and a monoshock with remote preload adjustment, it rolls on cast-alloy wheels (16-inch rear and a 19-inch front), features LED lighting all round and boasts a USB charging port.
The Sport Glide will be available in three solid colours: Vivid Black, Twisted Cherry and Silver Fortune and will be in dealerships in November with a ride away price of $27,750.
