Ducati unveiled three 1100cc versions of its popular Scrambler model at its native EICMA motorcycle show in Milan this week.
The base-model Scrambler 1100 version offers the standard yellow and silver paint scheme as the original machine, as well as the Scrambler 1100 Special which differs only in looks with its grey and silver colour scheme, brown seat and brush aluminium swingarm. Then there’s the Scrambler 1100 Sport which, as well as the black with yellow highlights paint, gains fully adjustable Öhlins suspension at both ends.
All three will go on sale locally in May 2018.
Using the firm’s air-cooled 1079cc V-twin engine, the new Scramblers offer more than just extra cubes to the Scrambler line, all three variants boast cornering ABS, traction control and three-way adjustable engine modes via its ride-by-wire throttle.
Engine modes are refreshingly named Active, Journey and City. The first two retain all of the engine’s available 86hp, and only adjust traction control input to suit, while selecting City mode reduces the power output to 75hp and ramps up the traction control settings.
Other notable inclusions are an LCD dash and an under-seat USB charging point.
Pricing and Australian availability is yet to be announced.
