Triumph’s 2.3-litre Rocket III torque machine has been in the public eye as much lately as a plethora of other new models have stolen the limelight, but to celebrate its 10-year anniversary Triumph has released a limited-edition version – the Rocket X.
Limited to 500 units with individually numbered side panels and billeted aluminium name badge, the Rocket X is finished in a high-gloss custom paint scheme with ‘grind’ effect stripes, and has received the black treatment on the exhaust, handlebars, mirrors and wheels. The wheels also have a hand-painted silver pinstripe.
The massive 2294cc engine remains unchanged, which delivers 221Nm of “sledgehammer torque” at 2750rpm. The forged 17kg crankshaft runs in four bearings with the Individual crank pins set at 120 degrees, firing the three pairs of sparkplugs in cylinder order from front to rear.
As with all new Triumph motorcycles, the Rocket X comes with an unlimited mileage, two-year factory warranty. The bike is now available for order at your local Triumph dealer.
