EICMA 2013: Husqvarna 701 prototype

A so-called “glimpse into the future” for the brand, in the form of a supermoto bike powered by a big 690cc single

Husqvarna has unveiled a prototype Husqvarna 701 supermoto bike at the EICMA international motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.

The concept sets a tone “that future Husqvarnas will follow” where the surfaces of the bodywork are “understated, focusing on simplicity”.

Technically, the Husqvarna 701 has a 690cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, which produces 75hp. It is harnessed within a lightweight Chromoly steel trellis frame and suspended by the latest WP fork and shock technology. It has the latest Brembo radial brakes.
