EICMA 2013: Honda CBR300R

The bike will arrive in Australia in the second quarter of 2014, complete with an increased stroke over the CBR250R to boost capacity to 286cc

Honda has finally provided official details on the new CBR300R.

Building on the platform of the CBR250R, the CBR300R has  a286cc capacity and the six-speed gearbox’s final drive ratio that has been lengthened for more efficient highway speed cruising.

The PGM fuel injection has been remapped with a focus on crisp throttle response, and the bike has and a new CBR500R-inspired muffler design.

A steel diamond twin-spar frame provides the backbone of the CBR300R’s chassis. There’s a colour-matched undercowl, dual headlights and steeply raked rear seat unit, while a reshaped seat alters the riding position to improve ground reach. Anti-lock braking comes as an option.

Colours are Gunpowder Black Metallic or Millennium Red.

There’s no price at this stage, with availability commencing in the second quarter of 2014.
