EBR 1190RX: $27,990 rideaway
The American-bred sportsbike – forming the basis of EBR's world superbike assault -- is now on sale locally, with a tasty treat for those ordering in AprilEBR’s new 1190RX V-twin sportsbike is now on sale in Australia for $27,990 rideaway, with the price also including a two-year premium roadside assist package.
And for all orders placed before April 30, 2014, purchasers will receive a free trip to the Sepang, round of the 2014 Superbike World Championship, which will be held in Malaysia from June 6-8.
The trip includes flights, accommodation, three-day passes and the chance to meet Team Hero EBR, which is fielding Geoff May and Aaron Yates in the 2014 world superbike title on the 1190RX.
The 1190RX is the first direct mass-produced descendent of the 1190RS limited-edition sportsbike, and has the same 72-degree, liquid-cooled 1190cc V-twin producing peak power and torque of 185hp and 138Nm respectively.
The rake and trail are 22.4 degrees and 96.5mm; it has Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 17-inch rubber; the suspension is by Showa; wet weight is 190kg; and the frame and swingarm are aluminium. The perimeter front disc –it has hubless wheels -- is a massive 386mm, and the rear is 220mm.
