Ducati has continued to improve its global sales volumes despite the ongoing pandemic. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer has already exceeded its 2020 sales with three months of 2021 remaining.
The Italian firm delivered 49,693 motorcycles to customers all across the world through the first nine months of 2021. In comparison, the company recorded 48,042 sales through all of 2020.
In particular, the third quarter of 2021 was the best in company’s history. Sales improved by 3 per cent compared to the same period in 2020, and a massive 25 per cent compared to 2019.
Italy led the way as the Bolonga brand’s biggest market, accounting for 7954 sales. The United States followed close behind with 7475 sales, and German was third with 5627 sales.
Ducati has experienced a busy year, with the new Multistrada V4 proving to be the most sought after model, followed by the Scrambler 800 family, the Streetfighter V4 and the Monster.
A swag of further new models is on the way too, with the new Multistrada V2, the Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro, Scrambler Urban Motard, and the highly-anticipated DesertX all coming soon.
“The growth we are experiencing is practically widespread on all the main markets in which Ducati is present and extends across the product families,” said Ducati VP Global Sales, Francesco Milicia. “The brand is now more solid and appreciated than ever and we are already focusing on next year.”
