Ducati has rebranded its twin-cylinder adventure bike, with the new 2022 Ducati Multistrada V2 offering a more refined package over its predecessor.
Set to replace the Multistrada 950, the new Ducati Multistrada V2 follows a similar naming convention to its bigger brother – the recently released Ducati Multistrada V4.
The Multistrada V2 is equipped with Ducati’s latest 937cc Testastretta twin-cylinder engine which delivers 113hp at 9000rpm and 94Nm at 6750rpm. While horsepower remains the same as the outgoing 950, peak torque is actually down, but it does arrive earlier in the rev range.

And the updated engine has contributed to an overall weight saving of about 5kg, with the new Multistrada V2 tipping the scales at 199kg dry.
Improvements on the new machine include new connecting rods, new 8-disc hydraulic clutch, and an updated gearbox which offers smoother and more precise shifting.
Other features include an improved ergonomic design with a lower seat height and narrower profile, as well as a vast electronics package that includes four ride modes and a wide array of safety features. Interestingly, the standard V2 will only include an LCD display, compared to the now-common TFT alternative.
Ducati will also offer a Multistrada V2 S, which ramps up the tech with standard semi-active suspension, cruise control, LED headlight with cornering lights, two-way quickshifter, a TFT dash and backlit handlebar controls.
The Ducati Multistrada V2 pair are offered in Ducati Red, however the S version also comes in Street Grey, which includes ‘GP Red’ wheels.
Starting at $22,539 ride away for the standard version, and $25,190 ride away for the S version, the Ducati Multistrada V2 range is set to arrive in Australia in the first quarter of 2022.
