Ducati has opened its doors and is ready to begin production again, as the COVID-19 situation continues to improve.
After suspending production at the Bologna plant on March 13, the Italian firm will gradually resume normal operation.
Starting from April 27, a number of employees will be called back to the Borgo Panigale factory, but only the minimum necessary to carry out production.
The company will comply with a rigid safety protocol and masks will be mandatory.
“It is absolutely essential to pay close attention to strict compliance with safety procedures,” said Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali. “The virus has not disappeared. It will be an extremely difficult year but starting up again is still a beginning; we have a lot of orders for the Streetfighter V4, for the Multistrada GT and for the Panigale V2.”
Visits to the Ducati museum, factory and Fisica in Moto are still suspended until further notice.
