Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro safety recall

Following "intensive off-road use", the rear shock may become loose from its mounting point

A safety recall has been announced for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro due to an issue with the rear shock absorber.

Details as follows:

What is the defect?
Following intensive off-road use, it could result in a breakage of the lower eyelet of the rear shock absorber, causing the rear shock to become loose from its mounting point.

What is the hazard?
This will compromise the handling ability of the motorcycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.

What should consumers do?
Owners will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should contact their nearest authorised Ducati dealer or service agent to arrange for the replacement of the non-conforming rear shock absorber with a more robust absorber.
