
Ducati has launched a fundraiser in support of the Policlinico di S.Orsola of Bolongna, one of the largest hospitals in Italy.
With the COVID-19 pandemic greatly affecting Ducati’s homeland, the Bologna-based firm wishes to contribute to the fight by launching its #raceagainstCovid campaign.
The company is rallying together employees, subsidiaries, dealers, suppliers, partners, riders and enthusiasts to offer support to the healthcare workers on the front line. All funds raise will finance instrumentation, research and staff wages at the Policlinico di S.Orsola hospital.

“Faced with a tradgedy such as that caused by the COVID-19 virus, one can remain immobile, paralysed by terror, or react quickly, precisely and in a coordinated way,” said Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO. “Helping the health system in every possible way is a duty of every single citizen and also of the companies that are a fundamental part of the social fabric.”
The COVID-19 virus has hit Italy particular hard, with over 230,158 confirmed cases and 32,877 deaths, as of May 25, 2020. Like many countries, Italy implemented a nation-wide lockdown and is now starting to see a fall in active case numbers.
