Ducati has revealed pricing for its all-new Desmo450 MX motocross bike, with an expected Australian arrival of September 2025.
While a race-tuned version of Ducati’s first motocross model has been competing in various championships since early 2024, the general public has been so far unable to experience the all-new machine.
But the production version is now headed for Australian shores with a price tag of $16,300. That puts it at the upper end of the 450cc motocross price spectrum. The incoming Triumph TF 450-RC is priced at $16,995 ride away, however that is seen a “First Edition” with up-spec equipment.
The Desmo450 MX utilises a single-cylinder engine like its rivals, however it will be the only bike in its class equipped with the desmodromic valve control system.
Ducati recently made its full-time debut in the MXGP World Championship with Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini, while it took out the Italian MX1 championship in 2024.
The brand also recently announced its intention to enter the Italian MX2 championship with a Desmo250 MX prototype. Tony Cairoli and Alessandro Lupino will help with the development of the lites class machine.
