Ducati has released five limited-edition Panigale models – four based on the Panigale V4 S and one on the Panigale V2 – to mark what was an exceptional and record-breaking year for the Italian company in motorsport.
The Latin firm claimed MotoGP, WorldSBK and WorldSSP titles last year, along with second and third place in the MotoGP Championship, while also being the first marque to triumph in both the MotoGP and WorldSBK titles for two consecutive years.
To celebrate the milestone, Ducati unveiled no fewer than five limited-edition Panigale Replica models at its ‘Campioni in Festa’ event (literally, ‘champions in celebration’), held recently in its home city of Bologna, Italy.
Attended by thousands of adoring Ducatisti plus Ducati staff and executives, the event was also attended by the racers to which the five models pay homage: 2023 MotoGP Champion, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team); MotoGP second-place getter, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing); MotoGP third-place getter, Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team); WorldSBK Champion, Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing); and WorldSSP Champion, Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing).
The MotoGP and WorldSBK replicas are based upon the Ducati Panigale V4 S, while the WorldSSP replica is based upon the Ducati Panigale V2. Each features a special livery inspired by the race bike on which they’re based – either the Desmosedici GP, Panigale V4 R or Panigale V2 – with the Bagnaia and Bautista models adopting the yellow livery displayed at last year's Misano Grand Prix and WorldSBK rounds.
Each bike also comes with its respective rider’s signature on the tank, plus a certificate of authenticity, a host of high-spec equipment, a dedicated wood shipping crate, and a custom cover.
Each replica model will be offered in a limited production run that relates to each rider’s race number: 263 units of the Bagnaia bike (#63), 219 of Bautista’s (#19), 189 of Martin’s (#89), 72 of Bezzecchi’s (#72), and 111 of Bulega’s (#11).
Offered in a single-seat format only, the bikes will also feature a billet aluminium steering plate with laser-etched model name and number, as well as a dedicated key and dash animation at key-on. Finally, each seat is finished in a special material complete with the rider’s logo.
The Panigale V4 models also feature an STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, an Akrapovic silencer, a racing screen, Brembo Stylema R calipers, MCS master cylinder, and Rizoma adjustable billet aluminium footpegs. There is no shortage of carbon bits either, from the rear exhaust manifold heat shields to the alternator cover, the rear guard, and the front brake ducts, along with a carbon/titanium cover for the single-sided swingarm.
The Bulega-themed Panigale V2, meanwhile, scores Öhlins suspension and an Öhlins steering damper, an Akrapovic silencer, Rizoma footpegs, and a host of carbonfibre parts.
