Ducati 1098S out and about

170hp and 127Nm

Deliveries of Ducati's 1098S sportsbike have commenced in Australia, at a retail price of $32,495 (plus ORC).

While maintaining the same look as the previous 1098S, the 1198cc machine has jumped to another level of engineering, with more power, less weight and sophisticated electronics such as traction control and its own data analysis set-up.

Claimed power from the Testastretta Evoluzione engine is 170hp, and torque is 127Nm. Dry weight is 169kg. Colours are midnight black or red.

Ducati first announced last November (here) the 1198-series would replace the 1098 in standard and up-spec S guises.

A price for the 1198 has yet to be announced.
