A group based near Bairnsdale (Vic) has opened up the first motorcycle drag race school in the country, and probably the southern hemisphere.
Inspired by a similar set-up in the USA, long-time racer Daryl Nuss promises the experience is both safe and a lot of fun.
Using a purpose-built Harley-Davidson VRXSE Destroyer, he runs the would-be racer through the safety and control basics, before gradually introducing them to launching the machine for a run.
Nuss says the bike has a lot of flexibility, is easy to manage and can be set to run from "mild to wild" according to the ability of the rider, and it all happens at a purpose-built strip in Bairnsdale.
