Doohan becomes nightclub owner

Former champ heads to Vegas

Five-time world GP champ Mick Doohan has kicked off a new career, as a nightclub owner with friend Billy Cross.

The Gold Coast resident says he won't be moving, despite the reported $11 million investment, as he prefers his present lifestyle.

Called the Cathouse, and located at the Luxor resort, the venue may prove to be the first of a chain.

"Vegas is the world capital for entertainment really -- it's like an adult Disneyland," Doohan told the Herald Sun newspaper.

"As a place to do what we are doing, it's fantastic because of the numbers there -- 40 million people a year through the airport."
