So you want to record your weekend ride but find traditional camera arrangements time consuming, fiddly to set up and, frankly, expensive. Wouldn't it be easier to have a camera that sees what you see and is as easy to use as wearing a pair of sunnies?
Now, thanks to imging, HD footage of your two-wheeled adventures is easier to capture than ever before. The camera, set in the nose piece of the video sunglasses, sees all that you do and is stabilised to eliminate small vibrations in the image.
The lightweight glasses, weighing just 39 grams, fit under most helmets, recording both sound and footage (in 720 HD). Lens are interchangeable and available in five colours (dark grey, light grey, amber, mirror blue and clear) with additional lenses available separately from $6.95.
Still shot (12MB) and sound recording only options are also available with the unit charged via USB or 240 volt adapter. imging says a full charge provides around 2.5 hours recording time. The glasses also have a power saving feature that switches them off from standby mode if the record button is not activated within two minutes.
Memory card options include 8, 16 and 32GB with a 4GB card, hard case, cleaning cloth, wall charger and USB cable included in the introductory $149.00 purchase price.
The Bikesales Network has ordered its own pair of imging HD video sunglasses today and will be back to you with a full review on their performance shortly.
