The non-attendance of Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki at the 2014 Melbourne Moto Expo. All budgetary related, but their absence left a massive hole in an otherwise fantastic event. Expos are costly, that's for sure, but surely there's something to be said for engaging with so many people under one roof.

32,000 people attending a MotoGP event -- and unfortunately that was at Phillip Island. What made it even more disappointing was that an Australian won a race in the form of Jack Miller in the Moto3 class. Not many people were making the pilgrimage and country pubs were suffering. I don’t know what the answer is, but people hiding in bushes dressed in camouflage with radar guns certainly don’t help.

Honda has made some very innovative superbike models over the years, including the introduction of the V4 series back in the early ’80s, the RC30 and then the Fireblade in the ’90s. The CBR1000RR hasn’t changed since 2008 and I was disappointed to learn that there is nothing new for 2015. Please Mr Honda we know you can do it so please give us a new bike. Not a hash-up rejig but something that makes our eyes pop.
