Daelim without Aussie distributor

Mojo and Daelim part ways as Laro reconsiders

Korean brand Daelim motorcycles is currently without an Australian distributor with local importer Mojo Motorcycles confirming the two companies have parted ways after a five-year partnership.

Mojo Motorcycles’ marketing manager Melanie Cahani told Bikesales the Melbourne-based distributor will honour warranty periods of the firm’s line-up which consisted of three 125cc scooters, a 250cc cruiser and a fully-faired 250cc sportsbike.

“Another distributor is yet to be appointed and we will continue to service parts and warranty until such time as they appoint someone else,” Cahani said.

Chinese-built Australian brand Laro Motorcycles is also reconsidering its strategy within the market. Providers of inexpensive LAMS-approved commuter bikes, the brand’s Anthony Famularo told Bikesales, “We are still operating at this time, [but] we have had to take a step back and rethink how we progress from here.

“At the moment we won’t be importing any new bikes but will continue to import all parts to support both dealers and customers with warranty and spare parts."
