The Victory Cross Country and Cross Roads bikes have now gone on sale, using key technologies borrowed for the American company's wise touring owl, the Vision.
Victory describes the duo as "game changers" for the touring segment. The company claims they have 26 per cent more storage, 60 per cent more suspension travel and 18 per cent more torque than their closest competitors, delivering on three key pillars: storage, comfort and performance.
Both bikes are powered by Victory's 106-cubic-inch Freedom V-twin, which delivers 92hp and 148Nm foot-pounds of torque. The transmission is a six-speed overdrive with belt final drive.
The Cross Roads comes standard with a bent-tube highway bar, extra long floorboards, a Lexan windshield, 120mm of suspension travel, and 79.5lt of cargo capacity.
The Cross Country adds a fairing with an infotainment system including cruise control, an MP3 compatible sound system with an AM/FM two-speaker stereo and passenger floorboards. The Cross Country also has the same suspension travel and cargo capacity as the Cross Roads.
The Cross Roads is $27,995 and the Cross Country is $29,995. Both bikes are available in Solid Midnight Cherry and Solid Black. The Cross Country is also available in Black and Graphite/Skulls. Every Victory model comes with a 24-month unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Grahame "Bonny" Gibson from South Australia (pictured) is the first Australasian owner of the Cross Country. He is one of the founding members of the Longriders Christian Motorcycle Club.
