COVID-19: Relive epic racing clashes

Lockdown got you down? Thanks to the MotoGP and WorldSBK official sites, you can view a heap of classic race footage and more, all for free

The COVID-19 pandemic grinds on and motorcycles across the country are tucked up in their sheds and garages. We might not be able to get together with mates for a ride right now, but there are plenty of ways we can still indulge our two-wheeled obsession – especially if you're a motorcycle racing fan.

Over at MotoGP.com, you can currently register for a free trial of a MotoGP Videopass that extends until the MotoGP Championship officially resumes racing. This gives you access to MotoGP.com's full archive of MotoGP and World Motorcycle Championship races from 1992 onwards, plus historical features, rider interviews, and much more.

And don't forget, the MotoGP Virtual Race is in full swing, with Race 2 scheduled for this Sunday, April 12. Okay, so the stakes aren't quite the same, but it's still a laugh to see some of the big names of the sport going head to head online!

And if WorldSBK is more your thing, the official WorldSBK site currently has a heap of great video content you can also watch for free. Choose from historic WorldSBK clashes, rider profiles, and some neat little features like a tour of Leon Haslam's motorcycle racing museum.

Ah yes, remember Race 2 of the 2002 WorldSBK Championship at Imola? No? Well now you can watch it all over again!

Of course, there's a heap of other great motorcycle content to be found online, including some pretty neat bike documentaries.

So get to it – there's plenty you do can while riding out COVID-19 that goes beyond sitting on your bike in the shed and making engine noises…
