It happened to me again the other day — that dreaded question about how countersteering works on a motorcycle.
It was my wife this time, and she was doing some intel before she goes for her motorcycle licence in a few weeks. I wasn't even intoxicated, but how I was trying to make my point, to blank stares, reminded me of the following video:
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src="//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
But that didn't solve the countersteering explanation conundrum — but this time (and forever more I'd say…) I have been saved by the Cambridge Science Centre, which has produced a video explaining the physical aspects of it all.
It's not a cack fest, but it does explain the whole thing really well.
Away we go:
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src="//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
