How much would you pay for this special one-off Harley-Davidson? The standard Night Rod retails for around $27k in Australia, but this one has a price point that will make your eyes water.
Bartels Harley-Davidson in Marina Del Rey, California - the place that sells cruisers to celebrities - tasked Jack Armstrong to create a custom paintjob for the motorcycle.
And the asking price for this custom H-D Night Rod is $1,000,000.
We're not quite sure that a custom paintjob, strange baubles on the tank and front cowl, and an aftermarket exhaust system warrant the escalated price tag - what do you think? See the comment link below to air your opinion.
Jack Armstrong is apparently a well-regarded artist, but the jury is out on whether the custom colour scheme is a $980,000 work of "art". Some might argue that it looks more like a child's finger painting. But as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Armstrong calls his art style "Cosmic Extensionalism" which is supposed to contain secret messages within the works. He has sworn that he will only create 100 paintings in his lifetime and that he will only ever paint one Harley-Davidson, this one, which was ridden on the red carpet by Lorenzo Lamas. Say no more...
