Corti to fly MV Agusta colours

The Italian will campaign the F4 1000 RR in the 2014 Superbike World Championship

MV Agusta will make its official debut in the 2014 Superbike World Championship with Italian Claudio Corti at the helm of the F4 1000 RR.

Corti was a CRT rider in MotoGP this year, but has now accepted an offer from the MV Agusta Reparto Corse-Yakhnich Motorsport team to go WSBK racing.

“When the team offered me a place, well, the decision couldn’t have been easier,” said Corti. “I’m honoured and can’t help but feel the responsibility of being part, together with the entire team, of such an ambitious project with none other than MV Agusta, a manufacturer that is a motorcycling legend.

“Everyone on the team is going to have their work cut out for them during this first year in the Superbike World Championship. I’m looking forward to giving it my all, drawing on all the experience gained so far and turning goals into results!”

Vladimir Leonov and Jules Cluzel will the two world supersport riders, with the whole team just wrapping up two days of testing at Jerez.
