Kymco. Sure, the Taiwanese company doesn't sell the sexiest or best performing motorcycles, but who cares. What is does do is market what it's got in a savvy and professional way, particularly in mediums where some of the established heavyweights are dragging the chain. Not only is it pushing hard in Australia and New Zealand, but Kymco's also got its sights firmly set on the broader Pacific Basin with it's clutch of commuter bikes. Good luck to them.

Victory Motorcycles. Yes, the ‘other’ American V-twin cruiser marque timed its Aussie launch to perfection – right when the GFC erupted – but despite tough times it’s been chipping away at the cruiser market with dogged determination. It’s bikes are good, it’s prices are sharp and it’s got a vibe all its own. With a 1200sqm Sydney store set to open shortly, expect Victory sales to move steadily in the right direction.Feann Torr
Zero Motorcycles has the potential to be the go-to electric motorcycle brand in Australia, and if it can grow its market share in Australia over the next year or so, it will be well on the way to achieving this status. With several new road and off-road models on their way, including a top secret model we will hopefully be testing next year, mainstream acceptance of the electric motorcycle is almost a reality.
