COLOGNE SHOW: New colours for 2011 Hondas

Fresh liveries across a number of models, and we expect confirmation of what we'll be seeing Down Under in November

Honda has unveiled a number of colour changes for the 2011 editions of existing models at the Cologne motorcycle show in Germany, ahead of the build-up to the announcement of all-new and revised hardware in Milan on November 5.

Heading the pack with a new look is the company’s sports bike flagship, the CBR1000RR Fireblade, which comes in a trio of new colours. There’s a new version of the ‘Tricolour’ scheme of red, white and blue with white wheels, and 2011 will also see a graphite black/silver frame option, while race fans can indulge in a Repsol colour scheme.

The Fireblade’s smaller sibling – the CBR600RR – will come in an orange and silver metallic special edition, Tricolour (red, white and blue) and a black colour scheme with orange accents.

New colours are not limited to just supersport machines, however. The VFR1200F, in both standard and dual clutch transmission versions, will now also come in black to join the seal silver metallic (the colour of the Bikesales Network’s long-termer), pearl sunbeam white and candy prominence red.

Meanwhile, for 2011 the Transalp adventure bike will continue in pearl concours black and Tricolour with gold rims, but these colours will be joined by a matt grey metallic with gold rims.

Honda Australia plans to announce its 2011 motorcycle line-up in November, which will include the new liveries of various models.
