Yamaha’s Luke Clout claimed his maiden overall SX1 victory in the Australian Supercross Championship at the WIN Stadium in Wollongong on Saturday, November 9.
Round three of the 2019 championship saw Clout finish the night with a 2-1-1 scorecard, more than enough to see him sit atop the podium ahead of teammate Dan Reardon and championship leader Justin Brayton (Honda).
However, Clout has now slashed Brayton’s lead to just 3pts (70 to 67), with Reardon (64) in third ahead of Brett Metcalfe (52) and Dylan Long (Kawasaki, 42).

“It’s about time!” commented Clout. “They’re the only words I can think of at the moment, to get my first win in front of my hometown and family, it’s just surreal!
“As well, beating JB (Justin Brayton), Reardon and Josh Hill, they are some really good guys, so I’m pumped.”

Meanwhile, American Chris Blose (Honda) was too strong in the SX2 class, securing victory ahead of KTM riders Joshua Osby and Mitchell Oldenburg.
Osby now leads the series by 1pt ahead of Blose, with Aaron Tanti (Yamaha) just 1pt behind Blose in third.
The 2019 Australian Supercross Championship now heads to New Zealand inside Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on November 16.
