Enduro racer and riding coach, Chris Birch, has launched a series of online tutorial videos, designed to help adventure riders improve their skills on big bikes.
Titled Say No To Slow, the series includes 16 episodes, adding up 3 hours of footage. The videos will explore topics from correct standing position and bike-setup, to high-speed power slides and jumping logs.
"I have created a series of instructional videos for adventure bike riders, drawing on over 30 years of riding bikes and over 10 years of coaching 5000+ riders," says Birch. "In this instructional series, I take adventure riders through core skills. My background as a mechanical engineer allows me to break down the physics of riding and describe techniques in detail."
Birch’s impressive adventure bike skills has resulted in a sizeable social media following. The Kiwi rider has competed in some of the biggest off-road races in the world, including the International Six Day Enduro, the World Enduro Championships, Erzbergrodeo, Red Bull Romaniacs (which he won in 2010) and the Dakar Rally.
Since 2007 Birch has been passing on his skill and knowledge to students through his successful riding clinics.
The KTM ambassador has made ‘extreme’ adventure riding his specialty in recent years and has been involved in the development of some of KTM’s off-road machines, including the KTM 790 Adventure R, which won the 2019 bikesales Bike of the Year award.
