CFMoto is celebrating five years of competing in the Isle of Man TT with the release of the limited-edition 650NK TT, which will be in dealerships by October 2, 2017.
As well as adopting the racebike’s fluro yellow livery, the ABS-equipped nakedbike gains carbon-look front and rear guards, radiator shrouds and belly pan. It gets a hard cowl for the pillion seat for a racy feel, as well as fluro yellow seat stitching to pick up on the bodywork.
To help dispel the idea that the Chinese-made CFMoto machines were somehow less reliable than their Japanese or European counterparts, CFMoto first entered the gruelling event in 2013 where it has raced with some considerable success ever since.
Its best result came last year when TT legend Gary Johnson rode the WK Bikes-prepared CFMoto to fourth place in the Lightweight TT, a race which was extended to four laps of the 37.75-mile Mountain Course instead of three for the first time.
Johnson narrowly missed out on CFMoto’s first-ever TT podium, crossing the line less than four seconds after Kawasaki’s Martin Jessop and posting an average lap speed of 115.453mph (186km/h).
“It is great to offer a unique race inspired model of the popular 650NK in tribute to the achievements of the CFMoto Isle of Man TT Race Team,” CF Moto Australia’s Michael Poynton said.
The 650NK TT ABS will retail for $6690 rideaway.
