CFMoto’s new U8 UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) has just gone on sale throughout the marque’s Australian dealer network.
Complementing the U5, U6 and X8 UTV models, the Chinese manufacturer says the U8 has been engineered to withstand the harsh conditions encountered on typical Aussie farms. At the heart of the new model is an 800cc, four-stroke, four-valves-per-cylinder V-twin engine. With liquid cooling and electronic fuel injection, CFMoto says the unit is good for 46kW (62.5hp) at 6700rpm and 72Nm at 6000rpm.
The workhorse’s transmission has both high-range and low-range gearing and offers a choice of 2WD or 4WD operation. The U8 rides on dual A-arms, independent rear suspension and adjustable hydraulic shocks and enjoys an impressive 280mm of ground clearance.
The model comes as standard with an array of top features, including a sizeable 26lt fuel tank, a gas-assisted rear tray, a roof and windscreen, a 3000lb winch and a tow ball.
The CFMoto U8 UTV retails for $13,990 and is backed by a two-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
In other CFMoto news, the marque's value-packed and learner-approved 650NK road bike is now available in a 'limited edition' format. In matt black paint and with distinctive turquoise decals, the LAMS-approved model is priced at $6990 (rideaway).
