With the arrival of the new 2023 CFMOTO ZFORCE 1000 SPORT R, the Chinese manufacturer has a new flagship to head up its side-by-side vehicle (SSV) range.
Compared to the existing CFMOTO ZFORCE 1000 SPORT, the CFMOTO ZFORCE 1000 SPORT R boasts numerous upgrades, beginning with a claimed output of 90hp from its 963cc V-twin engine – 11hp more than the standard SPORT.
It’s also wider and longer, with a width of 1626mm versus 1524mm for the SPORT and a wheelbase of 2285mm versus 2040mm. Then there’s the extra ground clearance (340mm versus 310mm), the bigger 29-inch tyres (27s on the SPORT), and the now beadlock-equipped 14-inch alloys that will allow drivers to safely run lower tyre pressures.

There’s also an all-new sway bar for additional lateral stability and an updated driver interface with new 5.0-inch TFT screen, the latter offering Bluetooth connectivity and integration with the CFMOTO RIDE app.
The flat-bottom steering wheel is also new and is said to offer improved grip, while the racing-style cockpit switches really look the part.
On the ergonomics front, the seating now has better back support, says CFMOTO, and the passenger handlebar is adjustable.
Other standard features include the roof, protection bar and winch with nylon cable, while there is a range of factory accessories on offer for the model.
Available in either Royal Blue or Nebula Black, the 2023 CFMOTO ZFORCE 1000 SPORT R is priced at $21,490 drive away, representing a $2000 premium over the standard CFMOTO ZFORCE 1000 SPORT.
