Chinese giant CFMoto has launched a new global sub-brand for electric mobility. Dubbed ZEEHO, the new division has already revealed its first vehicle, the Cyber, which although still in concept form is already poised for production.
In fact, CFMoto says the Cyber will enter production in the first half of 2021, with the innovative new machine slated for arrival in Australia in 2022.
With a 10kW electric motor powered by a 4kWh Farasis Energy lithium-ion battery, the Cyber is said to be capable of a top speed of 110km/h and has a range of 130 kilometres (New European Driving Cycle).
CFMoto says the scoot can accelerate from 0 to 50km/h in 2.9 seconds, while a fast-charge capability delivers an 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes.
The Cyber's 'Cobra' powertrain sees the mid-mounted and water-cooled electric motor develop 21.3Nm of torque, delivered to the solid-disc rear wheel via a chain final drive. CFMoto hasn't quoted a weight figure for the Cyber.

Under its 'Life Amplified' banner, CFMoto says ZEEHO offers "a design-led lifestyle to young generations through tech-driven and environmentally conscious urban mobility".
The machine's striking styling is a result of CFMoto's collaboration with Kiska Design, known for its long partnership with KTM, and the features fluid lines, 'double-winglet neon lights' and LED headlights.
The battery management system is said to have a lifespan of 2500 cycles, or eight years, affording a riding distance of up to 300,000km during operating temperatures between -20 and 55 degrees Celsius.
High-tech features include Bosch stability control and ABS, a ride-by-wire throttle, three ride modes (Eco, Street and Sport), keyless starting, and six high-definition cameras for a complete 360-degree obstacle warning system, plus customisable instrumentation, voice commands, remote diagnostics and live vehicle tracking.
The Cyber is fitted with Brembo brakes and rolls on Pirelli Diablo tyres.
"As electric bikes begin to spark motorcycling's main grid, the time has come for CFMoto to plug in and launch its highly anticipated EV sub-brand," said CFMoto Australia director, Michael Poynton.
"Distinct design, tech and environmental consciousness underpin ZEEHO. For the Gen-Z riders of the world's megacities, these represent the core fundamentals of urban mobility and similarly embody the guiding principles of ZEEHO. It's going to be an electrifying ride."
