CFMOTO 800MT to tackle Cape York
The affordable adventure tourer will be used by Cape York Motorcycle AdventuresA legendary off-road tour company has secured a fleet of brand-new CFMOTO 800MT Touring models for adventure tours across the top end of Australia.
Cape York Motorcycle Adventures is well known for its seven-day Cairns to Cape York tours, while it also operates an eight-day Cairns to Darwin tour among others.
Now in its 33rd year of operation, Cape York Motorcycle Tours was founded by Roy and Renae Kunda 33 years ago. Roy completed his first ride through the Cape in 1986 and has since become a well-respected expert on the area.

The recently-launched CFMOTO 800MT Touring will be used on the company’s slightly-more upmarket adventure tours, while it still maintains a fleet of Suzuki DR-Z400s for its more-technical enduro tours.
The 800MT Touring provides an affordable, yet capable and functional option for the company, while added protection accessories will help in the rugged terrain of the Cape.
“On first sight, I was really impressed with the look of the 800MT Touring,” said Roy. “It’s a lot of bike for the money. My guides and I were all surprised at how well-balanced and comfortable they are on the road. I can’t wait to put them through their paces up the Cape.”
CFMOTO offers two variants of the 800MT – the $12,990 ride away Sport model, and the $14,490 ride away Touring model. The Touring model offers more standard equipment including tyre pressure monitoring, a quick shifter, steering dampner, and heated grips and seat.
