CFMOTO 800MT Explore on sale
A fourth variant of CFMOTO’s premiere adventure platform has rolled into local showroomsCFMOTO has pulled the covers off its new 2023 CFMOTO 800MT Explore, which is now on sale throughout the brand’s national dealer network, priced at $16,490 ride away.
The new variant brings the CFMOTO 800MT adventure-bike platform to a total of four models, with the 800MT Explore now sitting alongside the 800MT Sport, 800MT Touring, and 800MT Touring Limited Edition.
New flagship
Building on the existing CFMOTO 800MT Touring, the CFMOTO 800MT Explore also serves as the new flagship for the range, and boasts a significant upgrade in terms of electronic smarts along with a new engine tune, new colours and new Michelin Anakee tyres.
In addition to new traction control and stability control systems and a new 8-inch multimedia display, the CFMOTO 800MT Explore scores a new ‘Behind Radar System’ (BRS), delivering blind spot monitoring, lane change assist and rear collision warning features.
The new model also has a total of six riding modes – Sport, Rain, Off-road, All Terrain and All Terrain Plus – and comes with switchable ABS front and rear.
Proven power
The model is powered by a KTM-designed 799cc parallel-twin that has now been revised for “optimised torque delivery”, while other notable features include a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter.
The unit is slotted into a lightweight chromoly frame and rides on an inverted and fully adjustable 43mm KYB fork with 160mm of travel and a KYB monoshock with preload and rebound adjustment with 150mm of travel.
The J.Juan brake set-up is enhanced with a Bosch 9.1 MP Cornering ABS program, while the new multimedia unit features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions, while also boasting Bluetooth connectivity, voice commands, and navigation, in conjunction with CFMOTO’s T-Box system and accompanying smartphone app.
Other features include a heated seat and heated grips, electronic cruise control, and 12V and USB power outlets.
Priced to please
The 2023 CFMOTO Explore is available in Gem Black or Starry White and is priced at $16,490 ride away – that’s identical to the 800MT Touring Limited but above the 800MT Touring ($14,990 ride away) and 800MT Sport ($12,990 ride away).
