CFMOTO is gearing up to launch its new 675cc three-cylinder sportsbike, with a series of teaser images appearing on the brand’s official Facebook page.
The new CFMOTO 675SR-R is no secret – it was presented as a prototype at the CFMOTO Day celebrations last September, and also appeared recently at a 35th Anniversary event in China.
CFMOTO has been drip-feeding information about the new model since early July, but it now looks as though the production version is ready to hit public roads.
Details are still thin on the ground, but it is known that the 675SR-R will feature LED lighting, pillion capability, a TFT display, and aerodynamic bodywork.
CFMOTO also said in its latest social post that the 675SR-R can be transformed into a track-only machine in “just a few minutes”.
The 675cc three-cylinder motor was presented at EICMA last year, where CFMOTO claimed it produces 68Nm and north of 100hp.
The 675SR-R will slot into a growing field of middleweight sportsbikes, including the Aprilia RS660, the Yamaha YZF-R7, the Suzuki GSX-8R, and the Triumph Daytona 660 (also a triple).
CFMOTO’s use of the R designation suggests that the new machine will be performance focused. It is unknown if there will also be a standard “SR” version.
