The CFMOTO range is set to expand yet again, with the local importer for the Chinese brand, Mojo Motorcycles, confirming the CFMOTO 300CL-X will be heading Down Under.
While the importer and indeed CFMOTO itself are remaining tight-lipped regarding specs and specifics for the new learner-friendly naked bike, an image of the bike has surfaced which indicates the new model should be closely related to its existing LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) sibling, the 300NK.
Although the model is available in its native home of China as a 250CL-X, we’ll be getting the higher-capacity version, while the bike will feature styling tied to the brand’s recently introduced 700CL-X platform. That range features the CFMOTO 700CL-X Heritage and CFMOTO 700CL-X Sport, with the CFMOTO 700CL-X Adventure set to join the fray in the third quarter of this year.
The CFMOTO 300CL-X features a tubular steel frame and rides on a suspension package comprising an inverted fork and rear monoshock, while the Continental ABS-backed braking system adopts a single-disc front brake.

Mojo Motorcycles PR and Communications Manager, Mark Fattore, told bikesales there were scant details surrounding the new model.
“We know it’s coming, but other than that all we know is what we can see in the photo,” he said.
“But we can safely assume it will be pretty close to that 300NK formula, in terms of its engine, tech and running gear, just with different styling and ergonomics.”
The CFMOTO 300NK went on sale here in Australia in 2019 but received a mild update for 2022, the changes spanning Euro 5 compliance, a slipper clutch, a new five-inch TFT display, and new colours.
Powered by a 292cc engine, the learner-approved model pumps out 27.9hp (20.5kW) at 8500rpm and 25Nm at 7000rpm in a nimble package weighing in at just 151kg (wet). Features include J.Juan brakes, electronic fuel injection, a three-year warranty and styling by Austria’s KISKA Design.
While pricing and an availability date for the CFMOTO 300CL-X are yet to be announced, the 300NK is currently priced at $5490 ride away. Bikesales will bring you more information on the CFMOTO 300CL-X as it comes to hand.
