Casey makes rich list
Ducati champ proves motorcycling can payNewly-minted Aussie MotoGP champ Casey Stoner is living proof that you can make good money out of motorcycling, so long as you can ride like a lunatic and stay alive.
He rated 14th on BRW magazine's sports personality rich list, with estimated earnings of $4.2 million in 2007, with the potential to double that next year.
Top of the list was golfer Greg Norman, earning $20 million in 2007.
Soccer player Harry Kewell was third on $11 million and third was F1 racer Mark Webber on $8.4 million.
