Motorcycle comms king Cardo has unveiled an off-road helmet that fully integrates a communication and audio system.
Priced from $1299.95, the Cardo Venture is based on the Leatt Moto 8.5 helmet but adds premium JBL audio, allowing for calls, music and group communication.
Riding coaches can also use the system to instruct students in real time from a distance without having to shout or use hand signals.

The helmet itself is ECE 22.06 and DOT certified and comes with “360 Turbine Technology”, which is designed to reduce impact and rotational forces. It comes with a “3-in-1” safety system and four-density impact foam.
Cardo says the Venture uses a lightweight composite shell, which helps reduce fatigue while retaining durability. The liner is moisture-wicking, while the modular pad system helps fit the helmet to a wide range of head shapes. The lid also has optimised ventilation, emergency cheek pad removal, neck brace compatibility and an integrated hydration port.
Each helmet comes with a five-year warranty, but the Cardo system has a three-year warranty, and the battery has a one-year warranty.
A limited number of retailers will offer the helmet at launch, but more stock is expected to arrive over the coming month.
