Can-Am Spyder recall

All 2010 examples of Can-Am's Spyder RT Roadster have been recalled, after the identification of the potential for a brake failure

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has issued a product safety recall affecting all 2010-spec Can-Am Spyder RT Roadster models.

The recall applies to all Spyder RT Roadster serial numbers in the 2010 model year, and relates to a potential brake system defect.
The ACCC recall concerns a pin in the brake pedal connecting rod. "A pin securing the brake pedal connecting rod could disengage and eventually fall off," it states. "This could cause a total loss of main brake funciton without prior warning," it continues.
Owners of the affected models have been asked to contact their Can-Am dealer to arrange to have the fault rectified at no cost.
