Bugden and Jones clinch NZ titles

Finish the job at Pukekohe

Australians Robbie Bugden (Suzuki) and Gareth Jones (Yamaha) have won New Zealand's two premier road racing national titles -- superbike and supersport.

In a final round blighted by mixed weather, Bugden won both superbike races from brandmate Andrew Stroud to bookend a brilliant season, while Jones traded supersport wins with local rider Sam Smith (Yamaha).

It was Bugden's third successive victory in the New Zealand Superbike Championship, and he'll now return to local shores to compete in the balance of the Woodstock Bourbon Australian Superbike Championship.
