Iconic American brand Buell is ready to expand into global markets as it continues to grow under its latest owner.
Canada is first on the list, but the privately held company is also hoping to establish a presence in Japan, France, Spain, Italy, and Brazil in the near future.

“We’ve seen a strong demand for Buell’s high-performance motorcycles across the globe,” said Buell CEO, Bill Melvin. “We’re listening, and we’re ready to expand with global distribution.”
bikesales is awaiting a reply from Buell as to whether the brand plans to expand into Australia at any stage in the future.
The company was founded in 1983 by ex-Harley-Davidson engineer Erik Buell. Harley-Davidson took full ownership of Buell in 2003, before discontinuing the brand in 2009.

Erik Buell launched another company, Erik Buell Racing, in late 2009, and that company took on the rights to the Buell Motorcycles name in 2021.
Buell Motorcycles now produces a number of models including the Hammerhead 1190 sportsbike, the 1190SX streetfighter, and the Super Cruiser.
