Iconic British brand BSA has officially relaunched in Australia under the guidance of industry veteran Jeff Leisk and is ready to take on modern-day heavyweight Royal Enfield in the affordable modern classic segment.
Distributed by Leisk Moto Imports (LMI), the reborn brand lands Down Under with a three-bike range and the promise of more to come.
The range includes the range topping Gold Star 650, the Scrambler 650, and the Bantam 350, while an adventure-ready Thunderbolt 350 is expected to arrive in 2027.

Pricing starts from as little as $7590 ride away for the Bantam, with all prices including 12 months registration. The Scrambler is priced at $11,799 ride away, while the Gold Star ranges from $11,699 to $12,799 ride away depending on colour choice.
There are already at least 12 Australian dealerships stocking BSA, with LMI hoping to add more soon. LMI also says it has an extensive spare parts inventory and there is also a wide range of apparel and accessories available.
Originally known as Birmingham Small Arms (BSA), the historic brand traces its roots back to 1861. It soon became one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world before closing its doors in the 1970s.

The modern iteration is the work of Classic Legends, which is a subsidiary of Indian auto giant, Mahindra Group. The new BSA launched in 2016 and now has a home in Australia with LMI, which is headed up by motocross legend and former KTM Australia boss, Leisk.
“We are honoured to represent such an iconic heritage brand. BSA has a proud history and an exciting future,” said Leisk. Our focus is to build a professional national dealer network and connect meaningfully with the dedicated BSA community across Australia.”
BSA’s global expansion also includes UK, Europe, India, Japan, and New Zealand.
bikesales was recently part of a media contingent given the opportunity to test all three models and a full review is coming soon.
