Brough Superior - no sale
A recent auction of the rights too and trademark of Brough Superior failed to sell in a recent auction in CaliforniaWidely seen as a rare opportunity to revive the legendary hand-built marque once favoured by Lawrence of Arabia (pictured here in 1930 with George Brough), the lot failed to make reserve, but is likely to be the focus of further negotiation.
The auction, conducted by Bonhams, was part of the second annual Legend of the Motorcycle event at Half Moon Bay in California. Top price paid was US$93,000 for a 1929 Crocker.
