BMW has pulled the covers of the new R 1300 GS Adventure, and the overhauled design is sure to raise some eyebrows.
Joining the regular R 1300 GS - which arrived earlier this year to replace the R 1250 GS - the updated GS Adventure (GSA) offers a completely different look to any GS before it.
Like the previous GSA, a 30L fuel tank replaces the 20L tank of the regular GS, while the aesthetic design features a boxy, rugged, and industrial look.
The new-generation boxer twin engine and chassis are carried over from the regular GS, while dynamic electronic suspension is featured as standard on this model.
One feature unique to the GSA is the addition of a semi-automatic transmission as an option, however it won’t be available until 2025.
BMW has also included a full-suite of electronics including cornering ABS, dynamic traction control, and four ride modes as standard. Other features that can be added as options include radar-enabled active cruise control, lane change warning, front collision warning, and blind spot detection.
Heated grips, keyless ignition, connectivity, and a 6.5-inch TFT are all standard, and seat heating can be added as an option.
There are four trim levels of the GS Adventure including the base version, the Triple Black, the GS Trophy, and the Option 719 Karakorum.
BMW Motorrad Australia is yet to reveal pricing or a release date.
