First details of the 2014 range of BMW models have emerged, with the marque confirming a number of models will receive a mild revision – mainly colour scheme updates.
The bikes will be available in European BMW Motorrad dealerships from August 2013, with Australian availability, specs and pricing still to be confirmed.
The highlights of the update are as follows:
R 1200 GS
The R 1200 GS will come with Rain and Road mode, and ASC, as standard, while a new Pro mode, featuring Dynamic, Enduro and Enduro Pro settings, plus ASC and ABS, will be an optional extra. Dynamic ESA can now be ordered as an optional extra, while the steering damper is standard. The bike also now comes with Dynamic Performance, Comfort, and Touring electronic damping/preload settings.
F 800 GS
The 2014-spec F 800 GS will have a Dynamic Performance package instead of a Safety package, the updated suite comprising ESA, ASC, and an off-road mode for ABS and ASC. This Dynamic Performance package can’t be combined with lowered suspension.
C 600 Sport
BMW’s C 600 Sport maxi scooter will come with a new opening mechanism for the filler cap, a rear frame section in black, a silver swingarm cover, and new Alpine White 3 paint, while the instrument cover comes in gloss black.
C 650 GT
The more touring-oriented scooter, the C 650 GT, also receives the new fuel filler cap plus a range of cosmetic updates.
