BMW to start bike production in Thailand

And will be the only manufacturing plant for the entire BMW Group where its three brands – BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad -- are finished together

BMW Motorrad has announced the F 800 R middleweight naked will soon begin production at the Rayong assembly plant in Thailand.

“The BMW Group plant Rayong is the only plant in our global production network with 28 locations in 13 countries, in which the three brands — BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad — are finished together,” said Harald Krüger, Member of the Board of management of BMW AG, production.

The bike will initially be sold in Thailand, beginning in the first quarter of 2014.

BMW Motorrad also manufactures bikes in Brazil.
