BMW has added a new boxer-powered roadster to its line-up, with the R 1300 R set to debut later in 2025.

The new bike has a more aggressive and sportier look, while a high level of standard equipment adds value and versatility for customers.
BMW will offer the R 1300 R with a starting price tag of $22,000 (plus on-road costs), while Exclusive ($28,490 plus ORC), Performance ($28,240 plus ORC), and Option 719 ($30,890 plus ORC) variants are also available.
Standard features include electronic suspension, ABS Pro, dynamic brake control, dynamic traction control, cruise control, a TFT display with connectivity, ride modes, keyless ignition, adjustable seat height, and hill hold control, just to name a few.
Active cruise control and front collision warning can both be added as options, as can heated grips, seat heating, tyre pressure monitoring, and a quick shifter.
The R 1300 R weighs in at a claimed 239kg wet and holds 17L of fuel, while seat height ranges from 785mm to 840mm.
BMW Motorrad Australia expects the R 1300 R to arrive in the third quarter of 2025.
