A new concept based on the BMW CE 04 electric scooter comes with a bold colour scheme, a topbox, and a surfboard. Yes, you read that correctly.
BMW Motorrad’s CE 04 Vagabund Moto Concept has been developed across the border in Austria and is targeted towards a “youthful” audience.
The white, dark green, beige and black colour scheme gives the bike a modern and youthful look, while the bike also features other unique details, such as a smiley face on the wheel hub.
Furthering the youth and urban lifestyle angle, the CE 04 Vagabund is also complete with a surfboard rack, and an actual BMW-branded surfboard shaped by Austria’s Noa Surfboards. A top case completes the Vagabund’s functional design.
Underneath all of that style is the standard CE 04 platform which produces a claimed 42.1hp (31kW) from its electric motor, with an estimated 2.6-second 0-50km/h time, and a claimed 130km of battery range. The BMW CE 04 was a finalist in the 2023 bikesales Bike of the Year.
The CE 04 Vagabund Moto Concept was developed by Vagabund Moto GmbH, a custom car and motorcycle design firm based in Graz, Austria.
It appears that the CE 04 Vagabund is one-off concept and is unlikely to go into production. But we’ll wait patiently for the Kelly Slater/BMW Motorrad sponsorship deal.
