BMW Motorrad slashes prices
The latest price realignment has seen a number of the marque's road and off-road models slashed by thousands of dollarsIt’s a great time to get behind the bars of a new BMW, because BMW Motorrad Australia has just reduced the price of a wide range of its models, slashing thousands from the price tags of some of its most popular bikes.
Topping the list of cuts is the R 1200 GS Adventure, BMW’s flagship dual-purpose machine, which has had a massive $5215 lopped from its price – it’s now priced at $23,850. Other notable reductions include a $3975 saving on the K 1300 R naked bike (now $21,990, a $2665 saving on the F 650 GS (now $12,590), and a $2500 saving on the R 1200 RT (now $28,790).
BMW has said the price realignment has been ushered in with some tempting factory finance deals, including its new BMW Full Circle programme, which guarantees the future resale value of any BMW-financed model at the end of its contract. On top of that, BMW rider apparel and BMW accessories can also now be included as part of the finance package.
Also of note is the inclusion of ABS as standard fitment across many models – part of BMW’s ‘Safety 360’ push to adopt the safety feature across its entire 2013 range (click here to read the related news story).
While the pricing of a handful of models has remained static, the only model to buck the downward pricing trend is BMW's S 1000 RR superbike, which is now $110 dearer.
According to BMW Motorrad Australia’s General Manager, Tony Sesto, the price reduction is here to stay. “Following highly successful sales promotions of recent months, we are happy to announce that we will continue this fantastic pricing on an on-going basis,” he said.
“Our new award-winning motorcycles have proven to be standout performers in their class in terms of value and performance and new finance offerings such as BMW Full Circle prove the confidence we have in their future resale values,” he added.
